Haixinsha Asian Games Grandstand & Ceremony Venue

Project Summary

Haixinsha Asian Games Grandstand & Ceremony Venue
The Haixinsha Asian Games Main Grandstand is located at the heart of Guangzhou’s central axis and served as the main venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 Asian Games. Covering a construction area of approximately 118,000 square meters, the grandstand features a ship-shaped design and an ultra-large cantilevered steel roof structure with a span of 68 meters—making it one of the longest cable-stayed canopies in Asia. The stand includes over 26,000 spectator seats and, when combined with the north and south wings, can accommodate more than 35,000 people.
The construction was developed by our partner GZZHCE.
